Founded in 2020 by Anuja Mehta and Abhilash Muduvathi, Thindi Cafe was born from a simple desire: to share the extraordinary snacks of South India with Toronto. What started as a cloud kitchen concept at Deppeanur on College Street has grown into two beloved locations—our flagship at 400 College St and our newest cafe in Liberty Village.
"Thindi" means "snacks" in Kannada, and every dish we serve honors the street food traditions of Bangalore, Chennai, and beyond. Our menu is entirely vegetarian, with gluten-free and vegan options as the standard—not an afterthought.
